Lance Baxter is an associate in the Birmingham office of Morris, Haynes, Wheeles, Knowles & Nelson, and is a native of Robertsdale, AL. Lance earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Alabama in 2011. While attending South Alabama, Lance was a member of the baseball from 2007-2010. He was named to the ALL-SBC team in 2009 and earned Academic ALL-SBC honors in 2007-2010. Lance was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 2010 major league draft. He played one season for the Tigers before suffering a career ending injury.
After baseball, Lance earned his Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law in 2015. While in law school, Lance was elected President of the Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society and graduated with honors. Lance was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2015 and currently serves as an active member of the Alabama Young Lawyer’s Executive Committee.
Since joining the firm in 2016, Lance has focused his practice on litigation. His case work primarily involves motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, worker’s compensation and other various types of cases where individuals have been wronged.
