Anonymous Plaintiff v. Anonymous Defendants

Confidential settlement in July, 2016. In May, 2013, Plaintiff was injured due to inappropriate and insufficient warning signs and improper placement of a flagman in a construction zone. Plaintiff was traveling along the roadway and came upon traffic stopped over a blind hillcrest. Plaintiff came to a stop and waited to proceed through the work zone. While waiting, Plaintiff was struck from behind by another driver, who had topped the hill and immediately come upon traffic stopped in the work zone, but was unable to stop. Plaintiff suffered severe bilateral ankle fractures, chronic depression, and anxiety, including panic attacks. Plaintiff underwent surgery to repair medial malleolar fractures and talus fractures in both ankles.
