Clay Hornsby graduated from the University of Alabama Law School in 1988 and began practicing law for Spain and Gillon in Birmingham for six months, Schmitt and Harper in Tallassee for three and a half years and for Morris Haynes for twenty-two years. He returns to the firm in 2020 after serving as Deputy Director of the Alabama Law Institute where he identified areas of Alabama law that were confusing, contradictory, and archaic. These experiences have provided him with a broad knowledge of the law as well as the practical trial experience to better help evaluate and represent clients more effectively in court.
